In Thugs We Trust

In Thug Matrimony by Wahida Clark, readers are reintroduced to Angel Smith and Kaylin Santos, the new Bonnie and Clyde. Kaylin crept out of the drug game and owned a new record label and recycling business. Angel had a law practice and was looking forward to being Mrs. Kaylin Santos. On their wedding day, amid all of the hustle and bustle of what should have been a happy occasion, the couple were visited by individuals who were a lot more than unwanted. This appearance caused so much chaos that it threatened not only the wedding, but also the lives of individuals who were no longer playing street games. Would Angel and Kaylin's past create enough friction in the present to destroy their relationship? Or would their struggles strengthen their bond and propel them into the future as husband and wife?

Wahida Clark did her thing in Thug Matrimony. The scenes were vivid and the characters were lively. The sex scenes were erotic and fulfilling. The editing was on point and scene transitions were careful and smooth. There will be a forthcoming addition to the `Thug' series tentatively titled Thug Matrimony, Volume II, which I will definitely get my hands on. I recommend Thug Matrimony to urban fiction fans that enjoy well-rounded stories that do not leave you hanging and have realistic drama.

The Wait Is Finally Over!!!!

Thug Matrimony the highly anticipated sequel to Thugs and The Women Who Love Them and Every Thug Needs A Lady was definately worth the wait!!!!! I can't bear to give away any of the book not even the storyline. All I can say is that all of the characters are back with the book primarily focusing on Kaylin, Angel, Trae, Tasha and of course Snake.

Wahida's Thug series perfectly exemplifies books that are straight hood but dayum good!!!! Anyone who missed out on the frist two should definately get the revised editions along with Thug Matrimony. Everybody who've already read the first two need to run and get their copy of Thug Matrimony!!!!

Hear ye, hear ye, the jury has taken a seat, the judge has banged his gavel, and the verdict is in.....

Wahida has finally quenched our thirst for the long awaited Trae/Tasha finale. Although "Thug Matrimony" is Kay and Angel's story, she answered the question that we have all wanted answered!!!! He's alive!!! Thank GOD for Trae's miraculous recovery!!!

This Thug journey marches on with drama from the wedding crashers, to stalking, pimping, murder, rap beefs, all the way to the Don's of the mafia. So you know that you will not get bored or distracted. Wahida captures your attention from the rooter to the tooter!!

Big ups Wahida!!! Congrats on another best seller and may 2007 be your year!!!

Let me start by stating that this book is not only an excellent learning/training resource, but also an invaluable reference to keep with you in your toolbox or toolbag out in the field.

The books starts off with some basic troubleshooting tips and suggestions, followed by an overview of basic electrical theory. There are also chapters dedicated to the use and operation of the various test meters and instruments used in the electrical field.

Typically a chapter will introduce the reader to the basic operating principles and theory behind different industrial electrical devices such as motors, relays, diodes, and PLC's. This overview is then followed by a section or chapter on how to troubleshoot these various devices and common problems that you may encounter. This format helps the reader to understand why a certain problem may be occurring and how to possibly prevent it in the future.

The index and glossary are very useful for finding specific information, and the included CD-ROM is an excellent learning tool and and will surely help anyone trying to "self-teach" with this book.

This book breaks down long, often tedious chapters into straight foward sections. Also there are many practice questions at the end of each mini-chapter and the answers are in the back. (This is good for your grade, 'cause teachers often give you worksheets with these same questions on them! Hahaha) The only problem is that sometimes the chapters are too abridged and you miss out on something important, so I still recommend reading the real chapters---but if your in a pickle and their is only 15 minutes until class, just read the study book. Great book for a hard class!

This book is a great help. Any class (Either AP or Regular Biology) taught out of Campbell's Biology is going to be tough. This book breaks down long, often tedious chapters into straight foward sections. Also there are many practice questions at the end of each mini-chapter and the answers are in the back. (This is good for your grade, 'cause teachers often give you worksheets with these same questions on them! Hahaha) The only problem is that sometimes the chapters are too abridged and you miss out on something important, so I still recommend reading the real chapters---but if your in a pickle and their is only 15 minutes until class, just read the study book. Enjoy!

Useful for AP bio

This book is great if you are taking AP biology with Camobell's Biology. Teachers tend to give students the questions from this book. The book contains the answers for all of the questions, but doesnt explain how they got the answers. You actually have to read the book. But, the questions are difficult, and similar to the ones on the AP exams, so it is good practice. I only gave it 4 stars because I think they could have given better summaries of the chapters and explanined the reasoning behind the answers in a way students would understand. Overall, a great buy and useful study tool!

I used this review book with the Campbell's biology book in AP Biology and let me tell you, it helps. It gets every detail to within a few pages and helps you memorize key facts and figures of the book. Recommend for anyone who is using the Campbell's book.

like sample size in qualitative research

This book was helpful in some aspects of outlining the research process. Some topics my professor had us writing on were minimally covered, like sample size in qualitative research. It was a good accompanyment to other readings we did to learn how to write a research proposal. Sometimes examples weren't helpful though.

About the Author

Aditya P. Mathur is Professor and Head, Department of Computer Science, at Purdue University. He is one of the founders of the department of Computer Science at BITS, Pilani, India where he designed, developed, and taught the first course on microprocessors to undergraduate students from his seminal book Introduction to Microprocessors. Dr. Mathur has been a prolific researcher with over 100 published works in international journals and conferences. His key contributions include a multilingual computer, the saturation effect in software testing, a theory of software cybernetics, and novel techniques for the estimation of software reliability.

Students, practitioners, and researchers will find this book an excellent source of simple to advanced techniques to use and improve their knowledge of and expertise in software testing.

An Excellent Text Book for Software Testing

The University of Texas at Dallas is one of the few institutions in USA, which has a Software Engineering Program offering BS, MS and PhD degrees. One of the core courses for our students (both undergraduate and graduate) majoring in Software Engineering is "Software Testing, Verification, Validation and Quality Assurance." Being an instructor for this course, I have long searched for an appropriate textbook for my students. An ideal book should not only cover different testing principles and techniques but also provide good examples with detailed explanations to help students better understand the material. Moreover, it should have sufficient content at different levels (introductory, intermediate, and advanced) so that instructors can select what is the best for their classes. The book "Foundations of Software Testing" by Professor Aditya Mathur is one of the best books that covers all the concerns described above. Moreover, being a researcher in the software testing area with ten years of industry experience, I have also found that this book can serve as a very useful reference for testing practitioners and help them perform their work. I strongly recommend this book to students who want to learn software testing, to instructors who teach classes in testing, and to programmers and testers for whom testing is part of their job.

A great textbook for software testing

I have used this book as a software testing researcher and also an educator for over a year now. Many people across the globe, including me, believe that this book by Aditya is the best textbook for teaching testing.

I have used the book in my undergraduate "Software Testing" and my graduate "Advanced Software Testing" courses. Both my students and me love the preciseness, comprehensiveness and detail presented in this book. The informative and to-the-point examples and end-of-chapter exercises add to its value.

Furthermore, I've recently had the chance to look at and quickly compare three recent books on testing: the current book by Aditya Mathur, Ammann and Offutt's "Introduction to Software Testing", and Naik and Tripathy's "Software Testing and Quality Assurance: Theory and Practice". A systematic comparison of them would require much more effort, which has not been feasible for me. However, while I believe all three books are well written by leaders in the field, I think the current book gets my first rank from the teaching perspective and its good style to presenting the testing concepts in order, its modern terminology and good depth of detail.

Last but not least, for the testing educators using this book, I have a surprise and that is: Aditya and I have collaborated since the summer of 2008 in preparing a (partial) solution manual for this book, the URL for which is available from Dr. Mathur's Purdue (book) website. Interested educators may contact me with their credentials and I would send them a copy of the solution manual.

In closing, I admire Aditya's effort in having made a good contribution to the collection of resources emerging on software testing, which I believe is entering its golden age, and the software industry is investing more and more on this very important software engineering discipline. I recommend the book to all testers. Happy testing!

Best text book on software testing

Foundations of Software Testing is a comprehensive book that can be used both for an undergraduate and a graduate course on testing. The book covers all important aspects of testing in great detail; examples are always present and are easy to follow. The book also has a good set of exercises at the end of each chapter. Though it is a text book (definitely the best one among the few real text books on testing) it is also a very good reference book to people in industry. I strongly recommend the book.
